Album Review – The Jazz Breakfast
A lovely review of 'An Improvised Escape' from Peter Bacon over at The Jazz Breakfast.
The opening track, A Perfect Sea Of Green And Blue, has a long sinewy melody line which Shaddad sings with Grey shadowing her every move on piano, even down to a lovely falling triplet on the word “transfixed”… in a second or two under six minutes, this very nearly perfect little gem of a song is worth the entrance fee just on its own.
